Roots, Roots, Roots!
All orchids should have them!

When orchids have healthy roots, they will get new growths and large, long-lasting flowers, and the plant will be less prone to infection.  We recommend that you take a good look at the roots of any orchid as soon as you buy it, whether or not it is in bloom.  Repotting your orchid immediately in Aussie Gold ® Orchid Mix  will lengthen the duration of the flowers.  When you take your plant out of the pot, you are likely to find:

Now look at the roots below on this dendrobium, grown in Aussie Gold® Orchid Mix in clear plastic glasses (stolen from Ro's kitchen!). All the roots are alive, healthy, in the pot and happy - AND it has been watered every day for over four years! [And yes, the glasses do have drainage holes!]

Or do your roots look like this?

Aussie Gold® Orchid Mix
will prevent rotten roots like this!
Cut off the dead roots and repot in Aussie Gold!

In the Aussie Gold greenhouse,

New Idea!
No more desiccated orchid species!
You can even use
Aussie Gold® Orchid Mix to grow orchids on a stick.....!
Here's what we do.  Plant the root section in a pot of
Aussie Gold® Orchid Mix and the healthy green roots will grow down into the pot and up on to the stick.  See what we mean in the photos below?  Try it, it really does work!  This is a very happy Brassovala cucullata!

We recently took these four orchids out of their Aussie Gold Orchid Mix to check the roots.  Everything still very much alive and healthy!
